James Mabitsela Paralegal

James Mabistela is a Paralegal in the Core Personal Injury team at Evolve Legal.

He has prior experience in both plaintiff personal injury and defendant workers’ compensation matters, giving him valuable insight into claims from both sides of the litigation process.

James’ genuine empathy for people experiencing difficult circumstances drew him to personal injury law. He finds fulfillment in assisting clients through challenging periods in their lives and contributing to outcomes that can make a meaningful difference to their circumstances.

James is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at the University of Queensland (UQ). Through his involvement with the University of Queensland Union (UQU), he has further developed his interest in advocacy and in helping people navigate difficult or unfamiliar circumstances. This experience complements his work in personal injury law, where understanding a client’s individual position is often as important as understanding the legal issues involved.

James chose to pursue a career in law because he sees it as a practical means of advocating for people who may otherwise struggle to protect their interests. He particularly values the opportunity to help clients understand their position, navigate the legal process, and work towards outcomes they may not initially have thought possible.

With a South African and Australian background, James has developed an appreciation for different perspectives and an ability to connect with people from a broad range of backgrounds. He is committed to understanding each client’s circumstances, concerns, and objectives, and to using that understanding to provide practical assistance and contribute to achieving the best available outcome.
